Vanderbilt's Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is an academic society whose goal is to provide pertinent information and resources about biomedical engineering to the biomedical engineering community at Vanderbilt. Our objective is to help our members network with as many professionals in the field of biomedical engineering as possible. In doing so, our members will be more knowledgeable in biomedical engineering and become potential candidates for employment. Our ultimate goal is to help members land internships, research positions, and jobs in biomedical engineering.

- Open houses to give members a taste of what Vanderbilt has to offer in terms of biomedical engineering. Tours of such facilities are planned.
- Helping our members get through their undergraduate curriculum with a mentor program. Freshmen and sophomores are highly encouraged to participate.
- Socials to help members know one another and their biomedical engineering professors.
